MMFA Once Again Ignores Context In Arizona Shooting

Fox Whitewashes The Right In Accusing Dems of Politicizing AZ Shooting

"Yet, Fox Attacks Only Progressives For Tying Shooting To The Right"

Yesterday I explained how there is no contradiction in Fox News embracing Sheriff Paul Babeu while criticizing sheriff Clarence Dupnik, as the two made their differing political comments in completely different situations. To writ: Babeu said what he said in the proper situation, whereas Dupnik said what he said in a totally inappropriate, potentially harmful situation.

Similar logic can be applied to the latest false comparison by MMFA. Manfred said to Sid in Ice Age:

"I don't care who started it. I'll finish it."

In this case, Manfred is conservative critics and Sid is the left wing media. See, conservatives did not rush to smear the entire progressive movement on the DAY that the tragedy happened. Conservatives have never done that and hopefully never would do that. For example, John Wayne Gacy was a loyal Democrat and had associations with Jimmy Carter, but conservatives never smeared Carter for what Gacy did.

However, so-called progressives and their cohorts in the left wing media immediately smeared all conservatives-in particular, talk radio-for what Loughner did. Just like Sid, they claimed that conservatives created the climate that caused Loughner to go on a killing spree, so conservative political figures stepped in and cleaned up the mess by turning the tables on them and giving them a taste of their own medicine. Had the left not screamed "WITCH!", this story would be just another sad murder and conservative media figures wouldn't have blamed ANYBODY except Loughner himself.

MMFA and the left wing media started this blame game. And the conservative media is finishing it.

I seem to remember that Fox was very hesitant to put their usual bias spin on the story the immediately following the shooting. In fact I feel they were weak on their actual news reporting of the story.

The reason for this was not what you suggest that they wanted to not blame the progressive movement which they clearly never had that concern before, but more to make sure they get the proper marching orders for their think tanks like the Heritage Foundation.

Between the use of a firearm and the potential damage to one of the right wings primary Presidential candidates, they knew they were guilty and had to proceed with caution.

I never said conservative personalities on Fox News refused to blame progressives in wake of the Loughner murders. You missed the entire point of the post you commented on: I was DEFENDING the Fox News personalities who blamed progressives for the Loughner murders by explaining the context in which such criticism occurred. If conservatives had immediately rushed to blame the left for the Loughner murders, then they would be just as guilty of blood libel as the left, and I would have never typed up this post. As it turned out, conservatives simply gave the left a taste of their own medicine, and now 'progressive' freaks like you are bitching about it.

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen

WTF?? Fox News is owned by a multibillionare who disagrees with alot of the views Beck, O Reilly, and Hannity share. Roger Ailes is a conservative, but if I'm not mistaken, he doesn't run any think tank, certainly not the Heritage Foundation (that's Ed Feulners baby). His wiki page says he owns some obscure newspaper in addition to being president of Fox News. That's it. No think tanks here!

"Between the use of a firearm and the potential damage to one of the right wings primary Presidential candidates, they knew they were guilty and had to proceed with caution."

What guilt? Where's the connection-direct or indirect-between conservative free speech and Loughner?

ANSWER: None.

Palin is only guilty insofar as the left wing media declared her guilty without any evidence to charge her with. And the use of a gun? Any gun-carrying person could have and would have stopped it. There are many Loughner situations prevented every year by gun rights.
